Our Energy Tandem®
when sun and wind make a strong team

We aspire to be and remain the best in the market for decentralized, combined solar-wind power plants up to 5 MW: the basis for this is our technologically mature, internationally patented solarwind Energy Tandem.

We rely on in-depth market knowledge and the ability to anticipate what is or will be physically, technically and economically feasible. We pair our ideas with existing synergies or synergies that are possible in terms of process engineering and design to achieve greater profitability and value-adding economies of scale.

The Energy Tandem developed by us is the best proof of how ideas based on physics and design engineering can create synergies to produce ecologically and economically outstanding products.

  • The mast, designed as a pressure vessel, is simultaneously the carrier of the wind turbine, the carrier of the double-tracking solar collectors and the vertical energy storage for the solar energy potential and any surplus wind energy.
  • The modern, high-performance hybrid turbine serves to convert the solar energy potential into electricity and to use the accruing waste process heat as district/thermal heat.

In the hydrogen version, H2 production is approx. 70 Nm3/h, and the H2 storage capacity of the multifunctional mast is approx. 10,000 Nm3.

A multi-talent in infrastructure

If the value chain of the self-generated electricity is used, the following supply products can also be produced by installing further plant components. This results in additional sources of income.

  • Gaseous green hydrogen
  • Oxygen
  • Heating/district/process heat
  • Drinking water (from seawater)
  • Agricultural irrigation water (from seawater)
  • Generation of a light intensity of 75,000 lux/m2 for growing light-intensive medicinal plants

These technical and economic peak values are achieved by the electricity Energy Tandem®

Jules Verne predicted as early as 1875 that “water is the coal of the future”. This means that tomorrow’s energy is water broken down into its components, i.e. hydrogen and oxygen. Today, we are in an age in which hydrogen produced with the help of green electricity is becoming increasingly important for achieving climate neutrality.

Coal is to be replaced with hydrogen in Germany by 2038 – and solarwind participates with decentralised power plants
